Manufacture a variety of bulk paints & coatings, clears, Isocyanates, topcoats, balancers & binders, primers, truck bed liners and reducers according to specified formulations. These duties are to be performed in accordance with all safety rules, including the wearing of proper Personal Protective Equipment, which includes FR clothing, static dissipating steel-toed shoes, company provided hard hat and appropriate eye protection.

Major Tasks Include:

• Read and verify formula for proper ingredients and mixing procedures
• Gather all proper raw materials. Notify material manager of shortages or low inventory levels.
• Weigh and measure ingredients for batch.
• Operate various mixing equipment.
• Observe batch as it mixes and ingredients are added to avoid quality problems.
• Advise supervisor, quality control, or lab personnel of concerns with mixing practices and quality issues.
• Perform the proper clean down of mixing vessels after each batch.
• Advise maintenance of equipment problems.
• Submit batch ticket and sample to QC for testing.
• Maintain a clean work area.
• Operate material handling equipment in paint plant.
• Return unused material to storage racks.
• Supply packaging lines with materials
• Observe all safety rules and wear appropriate PPE when required.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must be able to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in English
• Must have the legal right to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship now or in the future for employment work visa status
• Must be at least 18 years of age

Preferred Qualifications:

• One year of experience working with machinery in a manufacturing environment is preferred
• Experience operating packaging equipment such as robotics, filling machines, case packers, labelers, etc.
• Experience monitoring the quality of raw materials or finished goods is preferred
• Experience operating a forklift or other material handling equipment
• Forklift license
