POSITION DESCRIPTION

Employee will be responsible for separating the oyster meats from the shell and weighing them in. The employee will be required to shuck oyster meats in a safe, clean manner and be required to pay attention to the quality and sanitation of the product shucked.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITES

§ Shuck Oyster meats

§ Keep general work area and work attire clean and sanitized.

§ May be required to work at other work sites/locations as needed

§ May be required to do other tasks as needed

JOB & SAFETY REQUIREMENTS

§ Employee needs to learn how to use a shucking knife in a safe manner.

§ Must be 18 years of age or older.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

§ Previous experience desired, but not necessary.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

§ Employee must be able to stand for extended periods of time, up to 12 hours.

§ Employee must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.

§ Employee needs to be able to perform repetitive twisting, pulling, and pushing with wrists and hands.
