Who We Serve

Woodward Community Based Services was founded in 2006 in response to the growing need to serve children, adolescents, and their families in their home community.

We provide a wide-range of programs and services to children, teens, and adults that are designed to help every individual and family we serve to reach their best and full potential. Our programs and services are available in our offices and in community settings, as well as in the homes of our clients. Group homes are also part of this level of care. Our professionals work in conjunction with local resources to develop a strength-based plan to support success for our youth and families.

Overnight Youth Counselor Overview:

We are currently looking for career driven professionals to work with at risk youth. Our mission to provide supportive services to at risk youth from the area. We strive to connect our clients with their family supports, educational supports, medical resources, and community supports. Come join our team and make a difference in somebody’s life!

Job description

·· Bed Checks - Use a flashlight judiciously to insure a positive count and identification of the youth body name will be performed at shift changes and every 15 minutes. Only one youth at a time may have permission to go to the restroom. At no time should the students be left unsupervised

· Handle Emergencies - In the event of an emergency, notify the individuals listed on the Emergency Procedures. Give First-Aid until help arrives, if necessary.

· Fire Drills- Oversee fire drills if there is a scheduled alarm.

· Answer Telephone - Answer telephones and take messages.

· Com Log - Note all observed interaction with students during the shift. Any and all significant data should be included in the com log, as this is the primary source of communication with oncoming staff.

· Security - Check and secure all doors and windows.

· Supervise bedtime and wake-up time by following program schedule and policy.

· Report all noticeable events to Program Supervisor.

· Overnight Youth Counselors are required to stay upstairs and awake during shift

· Abide by The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (42 USC & 201 et seq.)

· All other duties as assigned.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Salary: $15.50 - $17.50 per hour

• Caregiving: 1 year (Preferred)
