Summary

The Outreach Worker helps individuals, families, and groups to provide outreach, emotional support, individual and group crisis counseling, public education, and referrals when needed.

Essential Functions

• Provides outreach and community education to agencies and individuals
• Represents Red Rock in the community and networks with other agencies and partners with agencies to ensure needs are meet
• Provides presentations to community groups on community stressors, coping skills, stress management, and available services
• Provides referrals to resources as applicable
• Provides all required documentation in a thorough and timely fashion
• Assists supervisor with data collection and creation of reports
• Supports and assists with the facilitation of Care Plans for consumers within the Red Rock Health Team
• Must be dedicated to exceptional customer service
• Participates in ongoing in-service education programs and staff development programs
• Attends staff meetings, workshops, and seminars to learn Agency policy, rules, regulations, and procedures
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills
• Must be able to work flexible hours as required
• Previous program development and supervisory experience preferred
• Previous community presentation experience preferred
• Bachelor’s Degree in mental health related field preferred
