Summary
The Outreach Worker helps individuals, families, and groups to provide outreach, emotional support, individual and group crisis counseling, public education, and referrals when needed.
Essential Functions
- Provides outreach and community education to agencies and individuals
- Represents Red Rock in the community and networks with other agencies and partners with agencies to ensure needs are meet
- Provides presentations to community groups on community stressors, coping skills, stress management, and available services
- Provides referrals to resources as applicable
- Provides all required documentation in a thorough and timely fashion
- Assists supervisor with data collection and creation of reports
- Supports and assists with the facilitation of Care Plans for consumers within the Red Rock Health Team
- Must be dedicated to exceptional customer service
- Participates in ongoing in-service education programs and staff development programs
- Attends staff meetings, workshops, and seminars to learn Agency policy, rules, regulations, and procedures
- Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Basic computer skills
- Must be able to work flexible hours as required
- Previous program development and supervisory experience preferred
- Previous community presentation experience preferred
- Bachelor’s Degree in mental health related field preferred
