OPHTHALMIC TECHNICIAN

We are currently seeking an experienced Ophthalmic Technician in Jacksonville Beach. Experience is required. COA/COT desired, but willing to train the right candidate. Serious inquiries only! If you do not have experience in Ophthalmology or do not intend on working long term, please do not apply. This is a full-time position. No traveling or late hours!

Requirements:

• Computer Skills: Able to navigate between screens: able to accurately enter data.

Able to type 30 words per minute.

• Perform Humphrey visual field testing.
• Perform OCT (Zeiss-Cirrus)
• Perform Fundus Photography
• Perform Manual/Automatic Lensometry
• Perform Manifest Refractions (Plus cylinder)
• Obtain accurate Chief complaint with all HPI requirements.
• Obtain and update PMH, Medications, Family History, Allergies, Social history, and Review of Systems
• Perform Applanation Tonometry
• Complete Prior Authorizations
• Administer topical ophthalmic or oral medications under the direction of the physician

Assists with in-office procedures ensuring proper informed consent is obtained

Maintaining cleanliness and orderliness of exam rooms during the workday.

Complies with all State and Federal regulations. Understands and accepts responsibility to report potential or suspected errors to supervisor or Compliance Officer.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
