Fenner Dunlop is looking for an enthusiastic Production Operator to join our Port Clinton manufacturing team. You will be trained in open positions and assigned a shift after you have been hired. This position reports to the Production Supervisor.
Fenner Dunlop designs and manufactures the widest range of bulk material handling conveyor belts in the world. We strive to be the premier provider of the safest and most reliable conveyor belting and services to a variety of heavy industrial markets such as coal mining, hard rock mining, sand, gravel, wood handling, power generation, pulp and paper. For over 150 years, Fenner Dunlop has researched, designed, developed, manufactured, and tested its conveyor belting products, supporting nearly any type of conveyor application, and providing the right solutions to protect conveyor system investments in the harshest conveying environments.
What You’ll Do
- Perform the duties of each position assigned; operate overhead cranes, hoists, lift truck vehicles and a variety of power and hand tools. Maintain clean and safe working area and equipment. Perform other departmental duties as assigned by supervision.
- Responsible for properly utilizing all equipment in the performance of each respective position they are working; maintaining proper production records; following established safety procedures and working in a safe manner to insure their own and others well-being; and reporting production problems to supervision.
- Be qualified in at least eighty percent (80%) of all production classifications and shall be assigned to a shift in accordance with the job bidding process.
- Assist with changeovers, buffing, run through breaks or in a process that will shorten the amount of time the equipment is not processing product on a machine that they are qualified to operate.
- Use and properly care for hand tools while maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
- Follow established safety procedures.
What You’ll Need
- Minimum High School diploma or equivalent
- Prior manufacturing or equivalent experience
- Must be able to work all shifts (8 and 12 hours) and weekends
- Capable of being flexible and adaptable
- Routinely stand, squat, and/or work in confined spaces
- Ability to lift 50 pounds on a regular basis
- Ability to move 100 pounds on a regular basis
Benefits We Offer
- New hire rate $23.80/hr. - $25.24/hr.
- Benefits eligible after 30 days
- $1.50 increase after 1st anniversary
- $1.50 increase after 2nd anniversary
