Compensation: $17.65-$22.05 per hour, depending on experienceSummary: The Operations Training Specialist position performs training functions and assessment for clinic support staff in various departments and facility locations. The purpose of this role is to train and support staff in their role with providers, to facilitate effective communication, and serve as the foundational architect for an efficient, and quality provider –support staff workflow.
Principal Responsibilities:
- Will participate and maintain a culture within The Corvallis Clinic that is consistent with the content outlined in the Service and Behavioral Standards Handbook. To this end, employee will be expected to read, have familiarity, and embrace the principles contained within.
- Review, plan, and implement hands on training with support staff.
- Coordinate orientation and onboarding plan with practice supervisor, clinical lead, and HR. Actively participates in the orientation and training of new employees.
- With operational direction, assess and implements skill-based training, annual skills competency events, and in-services to support initial and on-going competence of support staff.
- Conducts audits of support staff to ensure accuracy of documentation, workflow, and quality issues.
- Assists in creating and presenting training programs for staff members.
- Collaborates to develop and enhance documentation, tracking tools and process flows for quality monitoring activities to comply with current regulations and standards.
- Provides direct support and mentoring of support staff during onboarding, annually and as needed.
- As assigned, actively participates on organizational committees.
- Provide support and assist in the implementation of tools, guidelines, and best practices to foster positive relationships, improve efficiency, quality care and patient outcomes.
- Improve the quality of care through continuing education and self-evaluation. This includes attendance/participation in most in-services/department meetings and remaining current on clinic/department policies and procedures.
- As needed, may provide temporary coverage for the support team.
- Travel to various Clinic sites required.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s in Business/HealthCare, or related field; 3 or more years of related experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
- 2 years’ experience in a leadership role
- Five (5) or more years’ experience in an outpatient clinic setting
- Evidence of working knowledge of various clinic support roles
- Excellent EMR experience
- Ability to present clear, concise training information and evaluate learner application of knowledge
- Skilled in communication and feedback strategies that maintain professional exchange of perspectives.
- Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills required.
- Ability to work well with providers, clinical staff, and patients
- Ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously in a busy, fast-paced environment while maintaining quality of work
- Ability to adapt to work in various department environments.
