Description:
Pratt Institute's department of Digital Arts seeks qualified candidates for the position of Operations Manager. The ideal candidate will possess administrative experience with management of technology-based resources and facilities within an educational environment.

Reporting to the Chair of Digital Arts, this role will be part of the administrative team in Department of Digital Arts. Under moderate supervision and with moderate latitude for independent judgment, provides operational support for departmental facilities; Resource Center, Audio Recording Facility, Green Screen, Graduate/ Undergraduate Studios, other Maker Spaces, and the department gallery. Position offers opportunity to experiment with and implement new technology as to relates to Art & Technology and Animation.

On a typical day you will be required to:

• Manage a departmental resource center including: inventory, check-in check-out procedures, graduate assistants, work-study students.
• Manage graduate and undergraduate art & technology studio use.
• Coordinate with DDA Admin and I.T. support staff
• Assist student and faculty users (i.e., provide instruction, enforce usage policies, etc.).

Salary Range: $70K - $75K + Generous Benefits

Qualifications:
Education: B.A./ B.F.A. degree, in art or an arts related discipline.

Experience: Minimum 2 years experience managing art studios or art resources. Expertise with Apple computers is required.

Skills: Strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills required. A working knowledge of a broad range of digital media equipment.
