PLACE OF WORK:

Dugway Proving Ground is seeking applicants for a Operations Coordinator for the Range and Airfield Operations Branch, Operations Division on Dugway Proving Ground, UT. Dugway Proving Ground is approximately 50 minutes from Tooele, Utah, and 90-minute drive from Salt Lake City, Utah. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Serves as West Desert Test Center’s (WDTC) Integrated Training Area Management (ITAM) Operations Coordinator. Manages and coordinates the operations of the ITAM Support Center, which is responsible for the Sustainable Range Program (SRP), and the Sustainable Range Awareness (SRA) program activities. Coordinates the SRP and the SRA component planning and implementation throughout WDTC Testing and Training grids and testing/training areas; serves as liaison for Air Force, Utah National Guard, visiting testing and training agencies, and Command agencies on issues relating to the SRP and SRA. Assists the Airfield and Range Operations Supervisor with administrative duties and responsibilities such as preparing the annual budget, planning training needs, and implementation of a variety of programs related to the management and execution of the WDTC ITAM program.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.

Specialized Experience for the GS-12: To be found qualified, your resume must reflect 1 year of specialized experience: 1. Working on a range to include providing range coordination. 2. Coordinating with environmental offices to ensure outdoor training/testing sites are in compliance. 3. Working with Geographic Information System (GIS) applications. This definition of specialized experience is typical of the work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
