We are hiring many On Call Substitute Teachers in the Minneapolis-Saint Paul Metro Area. These are short-term substitute roles that are perfect for those that need flexibility and a job that fits around their schedule.

Zen Educate is looking for certified substitute teachers who are passionate about teaching and positively contributing to children’s lives.

This is a great opportunity to build experience and build relationships with multiple schools in your community. You will also gain exposure to a broad range of teaching styles and behavior management principles.

Ideal Candidates:

• Retired teachers who still want to work and contribute to children’s learning, but do not want to grade assignments, lesson plan, or take on additional responsibilities
• Graduate students who are looking to gain experience and classroom management skills. This is a great opportunity to build relationships with schools and get some invaluable experience
• Working professionals who are looking to transition to more meaningful work that contributes to society and the development of children and need to gain some school experience.

Key Duties:

• Maintain a classroom environment that is conducive to learning
• Assign lessons and follow the classroom teacher’s lesson plans
• Maintaining a safe learning environment
• Utilize a variety of learning methods to enhance the students’ learning experiences and support them as needed

Minimum Requirements:

• MN Short Call Substitute Teaching License or higher (This is a must)
• Bachelors Degree from an accredited college or university

Preferred Requirements: (don’t let these stop you from applying!)

• Tier 3 or 4 MN teaching license
• Master's Degree
• Accredited Teacher Preparation Program

Teacher pay will reflect qualifications and experience level.
