Rose City Flagging is actively looking for hardworking and observant candidates to join our on-call employment pool.

As a Flagger, you are responsible for directing vehicles around the construction sites. You will also be responsible for placing barricades, signboards, and traffic cones. In addition to this, you should be recording the license number of those vehicles that disobey rules.

To succeed in this job role, you should be able to stand for a long period of time with excellent physical stamina. You should also have an outstanding ability to lead and motivate the team members as and when required.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining the flow of traffic around the construction sites.
• Closing the lanes in case of emergency or maintenance work.
• Directing the vehicles as and when required.
• Setting up traffic cones, and signs around the site.
• Removing the barricades, traffic cones, and signboards after the completion of work.
• Informing the Construction Workers regarding any traffic issues.
• Communicating efficiently with other Flaggers via handheld devices.
• Using hand signals and signs to direct traffic.
• Adhering to all the rules and regulations of the company.

Requirements

• Current OR/WA/ID/MT Flagger Card.
• A driver’s license is mandatory.
• Clean driving record for insurance purposes.
• Ability to communicate in multiple languages would be a bonus
• Strong knowledge and understanding of traffic rules, and devices including set-up requirements & rules.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy objects.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 10 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
• On call

Experience:

• Flagging: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:
