Job Description:

Works under the supervision of the Airport Operations Managers. Supports three Taxi docks A, B and C by supplying equipment based on MCO’s Taxi customer demands. Coordinates with all Taxi Boarding Representatives to ensure docks are staffed and monitors breaks.

TYPICAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Dispatches cabs to taxi docks based on the needs per dock. Operates the Taxi Dispatch Sequencing system provided by OIA. Takes calls from members of the MCO Taxi GT Consortium. Researches and monitors equipment and guest issues. Creates and maintains daily reports that are sent to the Airport Operations Managers nightly. Provides enroute notifications to the Boarding Representatives when special equipment is requested or needed. Assists the Taxi Boarding Representatives with special needs requests such as wheelchair accessible taxis, taxis with child restraint seats, or 7 to 8 passenger taxis. Recommends hotels or restaurants as requested. Reports driver violations of personal appearance standards and poor customer service to the Airport Operations Managers in a timely manner. Resolves all driver incidents calmly and professionally to minimize customer and driver discomfort. Reports all conflicts or disputes to the Airport Operations Managers for resolution in a timely manner.

Job Qualifications:

Education: High School diploma, GED or equivalent.
Experience: Taxi Boarding Representative experience would be ideal.
Skill at: Good oral and written communication skills. Basic Excel, Outlook, and Word knowledge desired.
Knowledge of: The geographical layout of the Greater Orlando Area.
Licenses: None required.
Special Requirements: Must be able to remain calm, professional, and poised in high-pressure situations. Must be able to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays or as business dictates.

MUST BE NON-TOBACCO USER.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Must be able to communicate in clear fluent English in a courteous, friendly, and professional manner with staff, drivers, Airport and Law Enforcement officials, co-workers, and other persons.
• Must be able to maintain uniform and personal appearance standards while on duty.
• Must be able to understand and perform addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Must be able to read, understand taxi load sheets.
