Job Summary:

Responsible for installing office furniture safely, efficiently, accurately, damage-free, according to project specifications and the Company's commitment to quality.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities: (Additional duties may be assigned)

- Inspects and loads designated furniture items on truck per delivery ticket, while ensuring accurate counts, based on instructions received from the Scheduler and/or Lead Technician.

- Delivers, unpacks and installs product to customer locations based on delivery tickets and drawings, without damage to product or jobsite. Immediately reports any damage to the Warehouse Coordinator or Project Manager. Cleans all product and removes all trash prior to leaving the jobsite. Obtains customer signature/approval and verifies satisfactory placement and operation of installed product.

- Install office furniture and equipment according to blueprints provided with manufacturer's instructions and supervisors' direction.

- Follow safe procedures at all times to protect people, product, equipment, and customers.

- Maintain a professional image of self and Company at all times. Greet customers politely and pleasantly.

- Maintain proper account of all required tools and equipment.

- Completes and returns internal paperwork such as: signed delivery tickets, resolution reports, and drawings.

- Upon completion of the day, unloads all equipment and tools from truck. Unloads and discards all trash and cardboard from the truck as well as cleans out the cab of any trash on a daily basis.

- Places any returned product in the returned goods area and notifies Warehouse Coordinator of its return.

- Responsible to hand in accurate timesheets and follows time clock procedures.

- Must be punctual and wearing company provided uniform.

Accountabilities:

Contribute to the overall success of the Company by performing all assigned duties in a professional, timely, and accurate manner. Follow all Company safety policies as set forth in the Employee Handbook, Corporate Safety Manual, and any local regulations.

Minimum Qualification Standards:

- High School diploma or equivalent preferred.

- Mechanical ability required; ability to read prints and order paperwork.

- Must have at the time of hire, and maintain throughout employment, a valid Non CDL - Class D drivers' license free of major infractions and acceptable to our insurance carrier.

- Ability to work irregular hour on occasion with little or no notice.

- Must have personal cell phone to use during the workday for work related calls.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

- Ability to work independently, investigate problems, initiate solutions, work under deadline constraints, and manage multiple tasks.

- Ability to maintain high standards of professional manner and personal appearance.

- Strong organizational skills including the ability to to manage multiple projects and details simultaneously.

- Strong verbal and written communication skills including sensitivity and ability to work with confidential information.

- Ability to analyze and solve problems.

- Excellent attention to detail.

- Ability to develop and maintain accurate records and data files.

Equipment, Machines, and Software Used:

- Ability to operate hand tools, battery-powered drill, drive truck/van, use handcarts and dollies, truck lift gate, dock plates, trash compactor, and lift truck (requires certification).

- Computer software: Microsoft Outlook Express to include Word

Mental and Physical Requirements:

- Ability to climb, stoop, kneel, sit, stand, walk, push, pull, grasp, talk and hear.

- Ability to exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

- Moderate mental and visual attention required for performing manual work, set-ups, and adjustments that require frequent decisions to detect and adjust for variance from proper operation.

Environmental Conditions:

The Installation Technician is subject to both inside and outside environmental conditions, hazards and atmospheric conditions.

Travel Requirements:

The Installation Technician will be required to travel to customer sites in either personal vehicle or company vehicle.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
