MHC is looking for an Office Assistant (Full-Time, Monday - Thursday 9:00 am - 5:00 pm) in our Administrative Office located in Farmington. This professional level nonexempt position will assist in performing a variety of administrative related duties associated with our Admin office including coverage of the reception desk, acceptance of deliveries, calendar coordination, supply ordering, and other related functions as assigned.
Pay Rate: $17.00 per hour. MHC offers a competitive benefits package which includes:

Office Assistant responsibilities include:
- Performs general administrative functions such as preparing reports and correspondence i.e. memos, letters, printing/binding presentations and other documents. Making copies, scanning, faxing, and filing. Proofread copy for spelling, grammar and layout, suggesting appropriate changes as required.
- Performs reception duties such as receive office visitors and telephone calls, serving as the first point of contact for the Organization, as well as perform general reception duties, including, but not limited to, providing information to visitors.
- Coordinates calendar for President/CEO.
- Assists with the maintenance of company organization chart, program code listing, and leadership contact list.
- Establishes and maintains department records and reports with accurate filing and database systems.
- Maintain and organize office environment which includes; kitchen, lobby, and conference room areas, including general office supply ordering.
- Assist with daily mail distribution.
- May assist in finance projects or duties such as scanning, posting mail, and van logs.
- Work independently and within a team on special nonrecurring and ongoing projects.
- May assist in Board of Directors and Executive duties as needed.
- Assist with meetings, agency fundraisers, and other organizational events.
- Develop and implements systems to streamline workflow issues.
Education and Experience:
- High School diploma or GED required; Associates degree in related field preferred.
- 3 - 5 years experience performing office assistant duties in a professional environment.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
- Valid CT driver's license and auto registration and insurance.
