Job Title: Occupational Therapist - Full-time
Location: Outside of Houston, TX

Job Description: We are currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Occupational Therapist to join our school system in New Caney, Texas. As an Occupational Therapist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality therapeutic services to students with various physical, developmental, and sensory needs. Your expertise will help students develop the necessary skills to participate in daily activities and maximize their educational potential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine students' functional strengths and challenges related to school activities.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that address the unique needs of each student.
• Provide direct and consultative services to students, teachers, and families to support the students' functional performance in the classroom and school environment.
• Participate in the development and implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs) for students receiving occupational therapy services.
• Collaborate with other members of the education team to provide coordinated services to students.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of evaluations, treatment plans, and progress notes.

Requirements:

• Must have a Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Must hold a valid state license to practice as an Occupational Therapist in Texas.
• Must have experience working with children in a school setting.
• Knowledge of special education laws and procedures is preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
