Looking for an Occupational Therapist to join our Rehab team as our outpatient programs continue to expand. You will have the opportunity to work in a multifaceted facility treating a variety of patients in an outpatient setting, hospital, and nursing home. There may be an opportunity to increase in employment status/hours based on our needs and program development.


Occupational Therapists provide services to patients of all ages to prevent, assess, alleviate or correct physical disability, bodily dysfunction, or pain. Services are provided in the inpatient, outpatient, skilled nursing facility, and home health settings. Responsible for evaluating patient needs, establishing treatment plans and providing treatments/services accordingly. May work with patients on an individual and/or group basis using current technology, treatment techniques and modalities consistent with department and hospital policies and procedures. Individualized treatments may consist of various areas of function including therapeutic exercises, therapeutic activities, cognitive skills development, activities of daily living, and wheelchair positioning and training based on client needs while abiding by Customer Service Standards. Supports and implements patient safety and other safety practices as appropriate. Supports and demonstrates Family Centered Care principles when interacting with patients and their families and with co-workers.

EDUCATION:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of occupational therapy required.
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS:
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Healthcare Provider card prior to completion of unit orientation.
  • Licensed by the MN Board of Occupational Therapy as an occupational therapist or current temporary permit.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Specific clinical training in areas of special interest preferred.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Prior clinical or field work experience must provide clear evidence of clinical skills consistent with basic entry level.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills required.
  • Licensed required within 90 days from date of exam.
