Inspired by the wonderfully resilient and unique Northwest Madrona Tree, we aim to provide the highest-quality care that stabilizes youth, educates families, and increases long-term success. We are thrilled to be providing adolescent residential mental health and recovery care in a beautiful new 23 bed, short-term residential facility located in Tigard, Oregon.
Our programming is centered around skill building in emotional regulation, resiliency, conflict resolution, and communication with a framework of intentional healing relationships as a strategy for long-term recovery. Madrona Recovery prides itself on its commitment to trauma-informed care. Our staff are highly trained in nonviolent crisis intervention, trauma and resiliency informed practices and cultural competencies.
POSITION SUMMARY
The ideal candidate for this position will be exceptionally organized, a strong communicator and able to provide exceptional services in a fast pace environment. The Nursing Coordinator must provides leadership and comprehensive professional nursing care to clients in a residential, psychiatric/chemical dependency setting in accordance with federal rules, Oregon’s Nurse Practice Act (Division 45 and 47), accepted standards of psychiatric mental health nursing, the Code of Ethics for Nurses, the written mission of Madrona Recovery, the philosophy, objectives, and standards of care of the nursing department, and all policies and procedures. Acts as liaison, coordinating with contracted medical service providers (e.g., nurse practitioners, pharmacy, laboratory, etc.) NO overnight shifts required.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must have a bachelor’s degree from an accredited school of nursing and a current, unencumbered Oregon Nursing License.
- Two successful years of nursing experience in a psychiatric or chemical dependency treatment setting serving adolescents, supervisory experience, and current CPR/First Aid certification are desirable.
- All client care staff who are recovering from a substance abuse related disorder must be able to demonstrate continuous sobriety under nonresidential, independent living conditions for the immediate past two years.
REQUIREMENTS
- Must pass a drug screening including marijuana.
- Must pass a criminal background check.
