Nurse Manger Responsibilities:

• Physicians: Round with attending physicians, assist in transcribing physician’s orders, and notify them about any changes in the resident’s condition.
• Change in condition management: Communicate with director of nursing and administration about changes in a resident’s condition, need for equipment, or changing levels of care. Follow up with resident’s concerns regularly as needed. Provide education and counsel related to DNR status.
• Admissions:Participate in resident admission or readmission process.
• Incidents: Assist in completing medication incident reports with assisted living staff including investigation and follow up with appropriate staff counsel and/or education. Communicate with resident’s representative.
• Quality assurance: Audit admission process to assure completeness within 72 hours, support efforts to reduce medications, monitor laboratory orders, perform INRs. Renew standing lab orders. Conduct a monthly audit resident care summaries, medications, and weights.
• Vaccines: Management of influenza, pneumonia, COVID vaccinations, and tuberculin testing, and support of annual testing or vaccination per CDC guidelines.
• Staffing: Coordinate staffing on weekends to adequately provide resident care.
• Other duties: Function as a nurse as needed, including medication oversight and administration. Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Nursing.

Nurse Manager Qualifications:

• Current Ohio nursing license
• Supervisory experience
• Knowledgeable about the regulations in SNF & RCF facilities (preferred)
• Experience with long-term care nursing (preferred)

Nurse Manager Work Schedule: Full-time. 8-hour or 12-hour shifts available.

Job settings: Skilled Nursing Unit, Long-term Care
