Description:

The individual has responsibility to observe and distinguish a broad range of problems of a physical and chemically dependent nature and to intervene in such problems in order to facilitate clients' highest level of functioning.

Work closely with other disciplines, as needed, as part of a treatment team in a combined treatment program.

Demonstrate competence in working with diverse professional resources.

Function as a referral source and consult with individuals and agencies in regard to questions about services for clients with chemical dependency.

How I contribute

Dispense methadone to clients using automated AVATAR dispensing system on a daily basis

Order methadone from pharmaceutical supplier

Take vitals on admit clients, administer TB tests, and collect blood draws for lab

Assist with Medical Director peer review process

Order all supplies needed for methadone dispensing

Answer questions or inquiries from staff re: clients, dosing, and medical assistance

Process courtesy dose requests from clients home clinic

Administer and read annual TB tests for clients and staff

Note and carry out written or verbal physician orders in client charts and to pharmacies

Maintain all pertinent information data in AVATAR dispensing system

Print daily dosing reports in AVATAR system at end of shift

Review and assist Medical Director with client files (i.e., orders, documentation, filing, etc)

Readily available during reviews by California DHCS, DEA, Tulare County, and CARF reviews

Conduct daily dosing calculations on methadone at the end of dosing shift

Maintain cleanliness and organization of dosing station and nurses office

Attend and participate in weekly staff meetings

Provide nursing coverage as needed

Perform other duties as assigned.

What I bring

Graduate from an accredited LVN, LPT, or RN program

Valid California LVN, LPT, or RN license. Current and in good standing

Preferable experience working in SUD MAT program

Medication dispensing

Experience and knowledge of working with SUD Population
