North America External Manufacturing Operations Project Manager III


YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES


The primary responsibilities of this role, North America External Manufacturing Operations Project Manager III, are to:


  • Plan, organize, direct, control, monitor, and lead the projects from inception to completion and closure;
  • Document all meetings and agreements (Service Level Agreements (SLAs)) for deliverables. e.g., Change Control, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) implementation, etc.;
  • Attend New Product Development (NPD) and innovation meetings for active participation on these forms of projects to understand how they interact with Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) projects;
  • Clear communications with internal clients;
  • Educate clients on the project execution process with emphasis on scope, budget and change management, as required;
  • Assists with joint governance of component/material suppliers collaborating with Value Chain and Procurement (PRO);
  • Prepare the Project Definition Report (PDR) and gain approval from clients;
  • Ensure that the scope is supported prior to additional design work proceeding;
  • Ensure that all project gate reviews are conducted, and necessary approvals are secured;
  • Work with cost controls to prepare complete project estimates;
  • Document any lessons learned;
  • Perform postmortem meetings after project launches to identify and memorialize potential improvements and celebrate successes;
  • Partner with functional leads within Product Supply (PS), Information Technology (IT), and Contract Manufacturing Organization (CMO) sites to build culture and key skills required for success and make sure the project management, change management and related communication are consistent and smoothly managed.

Required qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Science, or engineering or related;
  • Hands on experienced individual with a balance of technical, business, and leadership competencies;
  • Multi discipline experience in operations and a significant level of independent thought and an ability to challenge existing strategies, process, and execution elements.


Preferred Qualifications:


  • 10 years of experience in the various areas of operations, or project management preferred;
  • Experience managing a team of direct reports is preferred;
  • Strong teamwork, leading cross functional teams/projects and influencing senior management experience is desired;
  • Ability to develop formal and informal relationships to leverage existing teams and workflow and gain focus on new areas of emphasis. Demonstrated ability to successfully manage change in the organization;
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, intellectual curiosity and interpersonal skills are preferred.
