Job Summary

We are seeking dedicated and passionate Part-Time Night Auditor's to join our exceptional team at a competitive pay rate ($17-19/HR).

The Night Auditor’s responsibilities include but are not limited to checking the front office accounting records for accuracy and summarizing and compiling information for the hotel's financial records on a daily basis. The night auditor tracks room revenue, occupancy percentages, and other front office operating statistics including preparing a summary of cash, check, and credit card activities reflecting the hotel's financial performance for the day. The night auditor posts room charges and room taxes to guest accounts including guest transactions not posted during the day by the front office cashier. The night auditor is also responsible for processing guest charge vouchers and credit card vouchers as well as verifying all account postings and balances made during the day by guest services agents. The night auditor monitors the current status of coupon, discount, and other promotional programs and is able to function as a guest services agent especially in terms of check-in and check-out procedures, running the end of day processes, and night audit processes on the property management software.

Essential Functions

• Posts room charges and taxes to guest accounts.
• Processes guest charges, voucher and credit card vouchers.
• Posts guest charge purchase transactions not posted by the guest services agent.
• Transfers charges and deposits to master accounts.
• Verifies all account postings and balances.
• Monitors the current status of coupon, discount, and other promotional programs.
• Tracks room revenues, occupancy percentages, and other front office statistics.
• Prepares a summary of cash, check, and credit card activities.
• Summarizes results of the operations for management.
• Prepares and executes the end of day procedures.
• Runs the end of day processes in the property management system (PMS).
• Understands principles of auditing, balancing, and closing out accounts.
• Knows how to operate the PMS, computer systems, and other front office equipment.
• Understands and knows how to perform check-in and check-out procedures.
• Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.
• Perform any other job-related duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of one year of hotel front desk supervisory experience
• Previous experience handling cash
• Previous experience and knowledge of accounting procedures and general administrative tasks.
• Computer experience preferred
• Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language used in the workplace. Must be able to speak and understand the primary language used by the guests who visit the hotel.
