Job Summary:
The Network Technician will provide ongoing support with and administration of Network Issues, WiFi, Building Automation Systems (BAS), Access Control Systems, CCTV cameras systems, Digital Directories, Audio/Visual Systems, and Lighting Control Systems. This position will be responsible for managing and troubleshooting all issues with the aforementioned at the assigned facility or facilities. This position shall be available during high peak hours of operation (Wednesday through Sunday, i.e. W: 8 AM – 5 PM, TR-S: 3 PM – 11 PM; SU: 11 AM – 7 PM).

Duties/Responsibilities:
Network:
- Provide Tier 1 and 2 responses to campus network issues and contact the appropriate party for Tier 3 support per the Service Level Agreement (SLA) in exhibit A.
- Monitor basic network operations and work with the third party to identify and execute necessary improvements.
- Ensure all operating systems (referenced below) are properly connected to, and communicating with, the network.
- Provide Network administration (i.e., access to third-party vendors as needed)
- Ensures and implements physical security protocols for TRs.
- Implements and maintains structured cabling standards in accordance with TIA 568
- Updates documentation as network changes are made and as needed.
WiFi:
- Monitor WiFi coverage throughout campus in designated areas.
- Troubleshoot WiFi outages in coordination with third-party vendors.
Building Automation System (BAS):
- Oversee and administer the campus-wide BAS, including holding regular meetings with BAS providers to hold them accountable to operating expectations.
- Troubleshoot control issues at the building level and adjust as necessary to ensure proper operation of the system.
- Review plans and specs and will participate in construction progress and turnover meetings as needed.
Access Control System:
- Oversee and administer the campus-wide Genetec Security Center system.
- Troubleshoot devices that are offline at the building level (under a separate contract with each building).
- Manage credentials and access groups.
- Manage and adjust door locking schedules.
- Review construction plans to recommend locations for access control to be installed.
CCTV Camera System:
- Oversee and administer the campus-wide Genetec Security Center system.
- Monitor daily system reports for anomalies and camera outages.
- Troubleshoot cameras that are offline at the building level (under a separate contract with each building).
- Review construction plans to recommend locations for cameras to be installed.
Digital Directories:
- Oversee and administer the campus-wide Janus system.
- Upload new content as provided and approved by the client.
- Review construction plans to recommend locations for new displays to be installed.
Audio / Visual Systems:
- Oversee and administer the operation of all common area campus-wide A/V systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair A/V equipment that is offline at the building level (under a separate contract with each building).
Lighting Control Systems:
- Oversee and administer all common area campus-wide Lighting Control systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair lights that are offline at the building level (under a separate contract with each building).
- Set lighting scenes in coordination with the TDC Marketing team.
General:
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Strong understanding of existing network programs and capabilities.
- Strong understanding of all aspects of this position as described in the duties/responsibilities section of this job description.

- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Education and Experience:
- Associate’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience required. Bachelor’s or higher preferred.
- At least three years of experience in network maintenance and user technical support is strongly preferred.
- A+, Network+, and/or similar certifications are highly preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
- May be required to work on-call or long hours in case of network malfunction.
