Network Engineer
Holland Home has a rare opportunity for a full-time IT Network Engineer who will work as a key member of our team supporting our multi-company organization.
Our ideal candidate will be self-motivated, able to work with minimal supervision, and possess the ability to adapt to a variety of support situations. This position will be engaged in a complex IT infrastructure, including industry-specific software applications and the use of technology-enabled solutions.
What will you do?
- Implement, manage and support all firewalls, routers, switches
- Manage the virtual environment
- Maintain network LAN and WAN documentation
- Monitor overall network and voice performance
- Participate in strategic sourcing process for acquiring Infrastructure technology
- Maintain network security and ensure compliance with security policies and procedures
- Assist in the evaluation of hardware and software, including providers for network & voice, and related equipment
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex problems
- Participate in projects as required, including potential new/acquired facility planning
- Participate in the on-call rotation
What is needed to be successful?
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering (electronic or communications), or related field; or in lieu of degree, a minimum of 4 years of experience in networking and related infrastructure
- Knowledge of LAN and WAN technologies and routing protocols
- Knowledge of network security standards and implementation of network segmentation
- Knowledge of wireless technologies
- Knowledge of virtual environments
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Meraki networking equipment
- Experience with VMware vSphere
- Experience with Microsoft Azure and cloud computing
- Strong documentation skills and attention to detail
- Strong project management skills
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $63,000.00 - $73,000.00 per year
