We are currently seeking a MRO Purchaser for our Sugar Land, Texas facility. The MRO Purchaser is responsible for ensuring a company has the right materials and equipment necessary to function. This position will manage the company’s supply of products, materials and/or services and evaluate suppliers to obtain the best agreement possible on goods that are needed for business operations.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain and track maintenance parts and services needed to support Maintenance staff including Maintenance Manager, Plant Engineer, Storeroom Manager, Planners, Reliable Leaders and Stock Room replenishment.
• Responsible for researching, outsourcing, gathering competitive quotes, negotiating pricing & ordering spare parts for our inventory storeroom using min/max reorder report and approved purchase requests through our CMMS, also known as Maintenance Connection.
• Responsible for processing credit card transactions via P-Card,and processing all invoices prior to submitting for payment.
• Responsible for tracking all maintenance spend and maintaining our monthly P&L budget by working closely with Storeroom Manager, Maintenance Manager and Plant Controller.

The ideal candidate shall possess the following:

• Three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience with a CMMS.
• Ability to leverage interpersonal skills to establish rapport and develop relationships with all key stakeholders: suppliers, customers & colleagues.
• Assist plant personnel with part location and ordering, 100% inventory accuracy, ensure successful 5S program. HSE safety supplies control, parts tracking, warranty tracking, and repair tracking
• Work with plant accounting, storeroom, and plant management to quickly resolve issues including invoices, receiving and purchase order discrepancies.
• Work with plant management to effectively resolve vendor performance issues.
• Be driven to achieve and surpass targets while committing to continuous improvement.
• Must be detail-oriented, organized and possess an analytical approach to solving problems.
• Strong proficiency in Excel and Word, with preference given to knowledge of inventory management systems.
