Hood, designs, certifies, manufactures, and sells a wide range of products to commercial, government, and military markets throughout the world. Our highly engineered interior and structural aerospace products are supplied to the largest aircraft manufacturers and are installed in aircraft around the globe, and our military products are used in critical national defense applications. The Max-Viz enhanced visions systems (EVS) are designed and certified for use as an improvement to safety by a vast array of airplanes, helicopters, and unmanned-aerial-vehicles in the commercial, government, and military marketplace. PECO-Controls are well established temperature control devices designed for applications where high quality is a must, such as the hospitality industry, commercial cooking, and other critical applications.

We are seeking an experienced MRO Buyer to join our dynamic Supply Chain team.

The purpose of this position is to plan and procure MRO (Maintenance, Repairs and Operations) goods and services necessary to sustain manufacturing operations in order to meet customer demands in a timely fashion. This position will perform a range of functions in support of manufacturing, materials and customer service. This position may require knowledge of SOX / 404 internal audit controls and related documentation and this position may be responsible for the performance of various functions that may be an integral part of the Company?s overall SOX / 404 internal control structure.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Includes the following duties and others as assigned.

• Implements KANBAN, Vendor Managed Inventory, and other inventory tracking/replenishment systems.
• Makes decisions to schedule, firm, and release or defer purchase orders based on MRP demand, purchase requisition, buy card, and material availability.
• Secures and analyzes quotations; negotiates price and suppliers terms; Ensures products and services are secured at best cost, quality and consistent with company standards.
• Coordinates as appropriate, quality matters and engineering changes between company and suppliers. Performs other work-related duties as assigned.
• Develops sources for Maintenance, Repair, and Operations (MRO) material.
• Negotiates contracts with outside contractors.
• Purchases capital equipment, negotiating service contracts and terms.
