SUMMARY
Hoshizaki America is looking for a model maker for our Engineering team in Peachtree City, GA. The model maker is responsible for building of experimental subassemblies and prototype models requiring a high degree of accuracy.

IMPACT OF THIS ROLE
- Produces mock-ups, models or other preliminary versions of design concepts and final designs which can be explored, tested, evaluated, and used to promote discussion and development
- Works directly from drawings or CAD data to produce prototypes and/or components
- Analyzes engineering specifications, sketches, and drawings and applies information to build models
- Works with designers, engineers, and other technical staff regarding product information, such as design, capacity and types of material to be used to fabricate the product
- Maintains data and quality assurance procedures according to standard guidelines
- Operates a wide range of equipment common to a model shop environment
- Performs tasks to maintain equipment and inventory
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Associates degree or advanced technical training and two years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience producing precision high quality prototypes/models is required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as drawings, blueprints, electrical schematics, and procedure manuals
- Ability to operate 3D printer
- Strong sheet metal fabrication skills and usage of software associated with machines used in fabrication
- Strong skills in using a variety of materials for building prototypes
- Ability to perform hot work such as welding and brazing of various materials
- Ability to work to tight deadlines while maintaining attention to quality and detail
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes
- Excellent communication skills
- Team oriented and collaborative
