• 
  Candidate should possess a hands on IT technical background as well as an in-depth understanding of manufacturing execution applications and business processes.
• General knowledge of ERP Systems
• Knowledge of Quality Information System (QIS) and manufacturing quality process
• Familiarity with PLM/PDM systems such as Teamcenter or Windchill
• Intimate knowledge of Computer Aided Process Planning and Manufacturing Execution Systems
• Familiarity with enterprise reporting tools such as OBIEE or COGNOS
• Ability to analyze and diagnose the root cause of bugs or issues with software systems. This goes beyond simply documenting trouble tickets.
• Ability to solution a work-around and permanent technical solutions to address bugs and new business cases
• Write and understand queries written in Structured Query Language (SQL)
• Familiarity with Oracle RDBMS
• Ability to understand and author solutions using Java, SQL, JSP, MVC and others
• Familiarity with enterprise reporting tools such as OBIEE or COGNOS
• General Understanding of our plant capabilities
• The ability to support required Audits including: Customer DCMA / DCAA and Internal ISO and corporate audits
• Support proposal development on Manufacturing related IT solutions.
• Support manufacturing and divisional process improvement initiatives

Position Requirements:

• Undergraduate degree in Engineering/ IT related fields (or equivalent) is required; additional graduate-level degree a plus
• Thrive in a flexible and ever changing manufacturing environment supporting a variety of products and process’
• Ability to function in a team-based environment
• Comfortable briefing complex topics to high-level audiences, including top Leadership at GD Land Systems
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as the ability to work independently in a self-motivated environment
• Capable of frequent interface with all functional organizations and suppliers
• Established skills in technical leadership, project execution and conflict management – with proven competency in effective problem solving and decision making
