You will join Medtronic’s Surgical Innovations Manufacturing monomer or polymer team located in our North Haven, CT manufacturing facility.

A Day in the Life
The 3 rd shift is 11:00pm to 7:00am. The schedule will be Monday through Friday with the shift starting 11:00pm Sunday night and last shift of week ending 7:00am Friday Morning.
The Chemical Operator responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.
- Operates automatic and manual chemical process equipment of varying complexity in various production processes in accordance with operating procedures.
- Equipment includes mixers, grinders, filter presses, dryers, filtering equipment, pumps, and filling machines.
- Performs quality control analyses as required to complete in-process batches and identifies variations.
- Processes may generate high pressure and/or critical reactions and requires training in hazardous material handling and emergency procedures.
- Ensures processes and procedures are in compliance with regulations.
- Training level in the Chemical Plant. May require supervision or assistance but understands basic operational principles.
- Completes line clearance and equipment cleaning
- Completes batch paperwork and logs
- Performs label reconciliation
- Operates PGA, Cracking, Crystallization and Solvent Recovery (Monomer)

Nice to Have
- Chemical handling experience
- OSHA training
- Vocational or technical education
- Experience operating processing machinery
- Knowledge of basic arithmetic including decimals, fractions, and simple calculations
- Ability to follow technical instructions and familiarity with processing language such as pH, concentration, etc.
