Job description

We are looking for a professional with an extensive knowledge of a range of mental health issues. You'll be responsible for providing individual, family, and group counseling as well as crisis intervention when necessary. The right candidate will feel comfortable working with patients of all ages and administering psychological tests to help determine best treatment.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain a safe and clean environment for clients and staff.
• Assist clients to become more independent and self-sufficient in their daily lives.
• Respect the dignity and worth of all individuals served in the community.
• Work with families to address needs of mentally ill individuals who may be experiencing life-threatening situations., Family involvement is critical to the recovery process.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

* Conducting clinical duties and appropriate documentation, including but not limited to: initial

screening; assessment/diagnosis; treatment planning; individual, family, and group therapy;

and transition/discharge planning.

* Completing initial agency orientation and participating in ongoing training requirements needed

to maintain Georgia license to practice mental and behavioral health therapy as well as agency

standards of care.

* Documenting client services within 24 hours of contact.

* Routinely reporting on assigned caseload to supervising therapist and/or treatment team.

* Obtaining and adhering to appropriate releases of information in accordance with HIPAA/CFR

42 guidelines.

* Scheduling appointments and answering phones when needed.

* Reporting (written and/or verbal) to multiple referral agents, which may include: probation,

parole, judicial agents, attorneys, DFCS, and DHR as well as other applicable providers or

professional agents.

* Sharing duties for record reviews and other collaborative endeavors as needed.

* Other duties as assigned.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $25.00 - $60.00 per hour
