We are looking for a positive, energetic and motivated Member Support Specialist to work at our fitness facilities - Powell Wellness Center and PATH Recreation & Fitness Center. Flexible part-time hours available. Evening and weekend shifts available.

CERTIFICATIONS:

• Current CPR/AED certification or attainment of this certification within 90 days

EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum of one year of customer service experience
• Cash handling experience

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office suite and Google Workspace
• Ability to multi-task while maintaining attention to detail

JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Perform daily front desk operations including checklists, while maintaining its security
• Greet, check-in members, register guests & collect waivers and applicable payments
• Inform of children’s access policy and issue arm bands to children appropriately
• Perform end-of-shift cash reconciliation
• Provide exceptional service to build long-term relationships with members and guests
• Answer phones and provide information to inquiries, check and respond to voicemails
• Provide tours and enroll new members.
• Assist members with change requests or billing issues
• Ensure cleanliness of facility and perform re-stocking as necessary during non-peak times
• Perform fitness floor tasks including turning on/off TV’s and fans, other opening/closing duties and conduct safety walk-through’s of the fitness area
• Assist as a first responder with other staff members on duty to medical or other building emergencies as outlined in our Emergency Response Plan
• Maintain an adequate linen supply for members and guests
• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of classes, activities, and special events occurring at facility
• Perform other duties as assigned

Applicable at Powell Wellness Center

• Collect café and/or pro shop fees
• Orient new members to fitness assessments
• Perform occasional fitness floor tasks including turning on/off TV’s and fans, other opening/closing duties and conduct safety walk-through’s of the fitness area
• Ensure cleanliness of pro shop and café areas
• Perform café operations (food and drink preparation) while performing safe food-handling and dishwashing practices
