Overview

The Center for Energy Workforce Development (CEWD) is a non-profit consortium of electric, natural gas, and nuclear utilities and their associations. CEWD is looking for a Member Service Coordinator to lead initiatives within the energy industry to develop a skilled workforce pipeline. Through direct assistance to member companies, leadership in connecting and mobilizing stakeholders to take effective local and state-wide action, the incumbent drives change to ensure the industry and its companies are supported by a trained, diverse workforce representative of the communities they serve.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate layout and distribution of monthly newsletter and eblasts
  • Respond to routine membership service requests and inquiries
  • Converse with prospective members
  • Support routine meeting functions at virtual and in-person events
  • Secure speakers for webinars and educational programs and coordinate logistical support
  • Coordinate guests for podcasts
  • Supports logistics of online virtual communities
  • Supports procurement of fresh content for GetIntoEnergy site
  • Make basic edits to website (WordPress), updates some content monthly, and interfaces with web host for other changes
  • Provides database and administrative support
  • Other responsibilities and special projects as assigned

Qualifications

The successful candidate will have:

  • Customer service orientation
  • Exemplary consumer facing writing and editing skills
  • Project management skills are essential as is the ability to manage many projects at one time
  • Self-starter with willingness to contribute ideas to strengthen the team
  • Ability to use Microsoft Suite, including Excel and PowerPoint
  • Familiarity with meetings and events is desirable
  • Basic familiarity with Constant Contact, Canva, and WordPress are desirable
  • Excellence in project management, organizational, and public speaking skills
  • Ability for light travel

Compensation

The salary range for this role begins at $50,200. Starting annual salary will be determined on individual qualifications. CEWD/EEI also offers an annual performance incentive which is prorated for mid-year start dates. This incentive is typically up to 10% of base salary. Office Protocol/COVID-19

This is a hybrid position which requires the incumbent to reside in the District of Columbia metropolitan area and come into the office a minimum of two days each week. All employees must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 or receive a medical or religious exemption.
