Concentric Methods is seeking a Medical Officer to join our team in Bethesda, MD in support of the NIH.

Responsibilities:

  • Organize, coordinate, and provide oversight as directed
  • Provide subject matter expertise and safety oversight for the development of protocols for clinical trials sponsored by CDP in the Contraceptive Clinical Trials Network (CCTN), particularly related to defining study outcome measures, eligibility, safety monitoring, and halting rules
  • Provide subject matter expertise and safety oversight during the execution of clinical trials ongoing in the CDP Contraceptive Clinical Trials Network (CCTN), particularly related to reviewing eligibility, safety monitoring, and regulatory compliance
  • Provide subject matter expertise and safety oversight for evaluation of conditions that might require issuance of waivers to CCTN investigators for prospective participants in the ongoing trials in the CDP Contraceptive Clinical Trials Network (CCTN) and issue waivers if deemed appropriate
  • Evaluate information regarding adverse events and prepare narratives as necessary to interpret the data with respect to outcomes
  • Participate in analysis of deidentified data and in manuscript preparation for interpreting and publishing results from clinical trials sponsored by CDP and conducted in the CCTN
  • Prepare and present trial results at selected scientific meetings
  • Assist CDP Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) in data acquisition and organization needed in preparation for task order award for CCTN contracts
  • Apply subject matter expertise to assist CDP Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) in evaluation of proposals related to performance of potential Offerors seeking to participate in new task orders
  • Assist CDP Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) in evaluation related to progress and quality of performance of contractors on task orders
  • Act as an advisor and consultant, providing leadership and medical-research expertise on policy, programs, planning, standards, and practices
  • Attend weekly, biweekly and monthly teleconferences and meetings as needed for updates on clinical trial activities
  • Work with NICHD investigators to facilitate medical and research aspects of clinical protocols.
  • Work with NICHD investigators to facilitate regulatory and IRB submissions
  • Collaborate with NICHD investigators and staff on the preparation of manuscripts and other scientific documents related to NICHD clinical investigations



Job Requirements:
  • M.D. and board certification in the field of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
  • Minimum of Five (5) years of experience in a clinical research setting.
  • Strong recommendations
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written
  • Excellent analytical, organizational and time management skills.
