Star Lab is actively seeking a Medical Technologist who is willing to be on call for rotating Saturdays. If there is a need to come in due to sample volume, the employee will be paid for a minimum 4 hrs- even if the time spent at the lab is less.

Medical Technologists play a key role in the Laboratory by performing laboratory tests and analyzing samples to determine results.

Responsibilities:

• Performs assigned clinical laboratory tests.
• Operates and maintains laboratory instrumentation.
• Evaluates, records ad prints test results using lab computer. Executes procedures for ordering, processing and reporting lab specimens.
• Performs quality controls and documents QC for each lab procedure on a daily basis.
• Participoates in external proficiency testing and in continuing education classes to maintain licensure and remain updated on changes in the Medical Technology field.
• Performs preventative maintenance on laboratory equipment as necessary.
• Prepares reagents for use in lab procedures.
• Performs all the lab duties as per the jurisdiction of the lab director.

This position is "On-Call" and will rotate Saturdays. Employee will be reimbursed a minimum of 4hrs pay if they have to go into the lab due to sample volume.
