Job description

We are looking for a competent billing specialist to help guarantee the company's revenues. You will be responsible for processing incoming payments along with the issuing of necessary paperwork.

Responsibilities:

• Ensuring the patient’s medical information is accurate and up to date
• Receiving and reviewing patients' charts and documents for verification and accuracy
• Complying with medical coding and guidelines
• Making sure that codes are assigned correctly and sequenced appropriately as per government and insurance regulations
• Following up on missed payments and resolving financial discrepancies
• Insurance Verification

Requirements:

• 6 months to 1-year experience as a medical biller or similar role
• Solid understanding of billing software and EMR
• Self-starter, ability to work independently and work with minimal supervision
• Must have the ability to multi-task and manage time effectively
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Pay: $23.00 - $27.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
• Weekend availability

• Farmingdale, NY: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Experience:

• ICD-10: 1 year (Preferred)
