Looking for a Certified Billing Specialist. We are Primary Care Practice that is a sole proprietor, with 4 providers. We have 1 MD, and 3 APRNs.

We are looking for a billing specialist that meet the following qualifications and experience.

Responsible for posting insurance payments received from all payers both electronically and manually.

Responsible for timely follow up of all insurance payers, including working all payer denials (old and new) and writing appeals, sending corrected claims and managing days in A/R.

Must be able to communicate professionally with patients regarding insurance/claim matters, such as insurance changes or counseling patients on proper follow up to ensure proper payment of their claims, etc.

Must be able to communicate professionally with insurance companies regarding claim issues.

Responsible for maintaining a current knowledge of insurance rules, regulations and policies or policy changes and be able to communicate information to management and physicians in a timely manner.

Responsible for maintaining a current knowledge of family practice coding as it relates to insurance follow up, such as proper use of modifiers. Will also need to communicate with coder as needed regarding claim coding issues.

Responsible for assisting management with problem resolutions relating to accounts, claims, insurance payers, etc.

Must have at least 3 years of experience working with insurance payers, insurance claims, and billing issues. Experience in family practice a plus.
