Specialty: Primary care

Medical assistant daily role:

• Greeting and rooming patients by appointments
• Updating patient/medication history
• Record patient vitals
• Perform EKG's when needed
• Respond to patient messages via phone & patient portal
• Assist in patient/caregiver education
• Prescription refills
• Insurance verifications, scheduling, & prior authorizations

Work environment:

• An average of 25-30 patients per day, fast paced primary care office
• Must be comfortable working with all ages
• Strong opportunities for internal growth, great providers and staff members on site (3-4 providers on site daily)

Schedule & Locations:

• Wethersfield, CT
• Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5pm (No weekends)

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Must have 1+ year clinical medical assisting experience
• Medical office experience preferred
• Must have EMR/EHR experience, Epic preferred
• Must have medical assistant diploma, CMA/RMA required
