Overview: This is a 13-week contract position that requires at least one year of Medical Assistant experience.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Assistant to join our team at a Medical Clinic in Maryland. In this role, you will be responsible for providing a wide range of administrative and clinical support services to our patients. You will work closely with other members of the healthcare team, including doctors and nurses, to ensure that our patients receive the best possible care.

Responsibilities:

• Perform administrative duties, such as scheduling appointments, answering phones, and maintaining patient records
• Assist with clinical tasks, such as taking vital signs, preparing patients for exams, and administering medications
• Educate patients on health and wellness topics and provide support and guidance as needed
• Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans for each patient
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment
• Participate in continuing education and training to stay up-to-date on the latest developments in medical assisting

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completed an accredited Medical Assistant training program
• Current Medical Assistant certification in the state of Maryland
• At least 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant in a clinic or healthcare setting
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work well under pressure
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
