Job Summary:

This position will continue to complete the responsibilities of a medical assistant (MAI, MAII and MAIII).

In addition, this position will help ensure the provision of high quality patient care as well as assist in

daily problem solving and the development of clinical staff through consistent participation and

commitment to employee training, onboarding, clinical practice in alignment with PHS policies,

committee attendance and facilitation as well as quality improvement project development and

implementation.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education: High School Graduate.

Current/valid License: None.

Minimum Experience:

• Three years of experience in health care setting or equivalent education and experience in patient care.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Eagerness to work as a member of an interdisciplinary team
• Aptitude for problem-solving
• Ability to incorporate constructive feedback and learn on the job.
• Patient-centered focus.

Preferred Experience:

• Completion of Medical Assisting Coursework
• Participation in an interdisciplinary team
• Excellent performance as MAII
• History of taking initiative and willingness to accept additional assignments to assist in workflow or improve systems

Patient Population Served:

Pediatric, Adolescent, Adult, Geriatric, Prenatal. Diverse population of patients.

Physical Demands/Working Conditions:

Extended periods of walking, standing, bending, lifting, pulling and pushing. Performance of

essential duties requires close and distance vision and hearing acuity. Must be able to perform

heavy lifting, generally more than 25 pounds. Clinical environment with exposure to

chemicals, pathogens and patient body fluids. Requires working under stressful conditions,

and ability to multi-task.
