The Atlantic Region CBO is seeking a dynamic and talented Medicaid Billing Team Lead.


The Medicaid Billing Team lead is responsible for the coordination of the daily operational activities of the billing department to assure standards are met and electronic and manual claim filing process is completed efficiently and accurately.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Maintains the billing process of assigned areas of responsibility (governmental or commercial) to provide effective electronic claim filing strategies.
  • Ensures billing policies and procedures are followed by billing department staff.
  • Works with billing manager on a weekly basis to set goals and objectives, prioritize special projects and review insurance and billing status reports.
  • Assist with staff communication providing updates, setting individual staff goals and reviewing productivity reports with team members.
  • Completes training of new hires and ongoing in services as appropriate concerning areas of responsibility and payer specific updates.
  • Completes and maintains provider enrollment documentation for all third party carriers.
  • Assures patient billing submissions are efficient and works with Foundation Coordinator to monitor billing cycle for patients.
  • Reconciles electronic filing reports
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Position Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent and 1-3 years billing experience preferred.
Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Customer focused both internally and externally, strong attention to detail, the ability to multi-task, strong 10 key data entry, and excellent written and oral communication skills are required.
Familiarity medical billing and 1-3 years healthcare business office experience preferred.
