Kenvue is currently recruiting for a Media Relations Specialist. This position reports to the Sr. Director, Global Issues Management, based in Skillman, NJ. Remote options will be considered for qualified candidates.

What will you do:

The Media Relations Specialist will be part of a global team helping to drive high-impact communications for engagement and alignment with employees around the world, supporting activities that protect and enhance brand and business reputation, as well as driving awareness of our brands and mission among consumers. The role will be responsible for supporting the global media relations team with global issues, crisis communications, and media relations specifically for key business initiatives globally.

  • Responsibilities:

    • Develop an in-depth understanding of Kenvue Corporate Brand and support strategy and messaging to help build the reputation of Kenvue within today’s 24/7 news cycle.

    • Support Media Relations Global Leader and regional leads in the execution of best-in-class strategic communication activations and media engagement to manage brand and business issues.

    • Help maintain alignment across functions and across regions, monitoring anticipated and ongoing issues and media relations activations —including managing company media inbox, reporter and influencer research, pitch development and outreach, support of executive interview materials, as well as reporting and analytics.

    • Proactively research and recommend unique media opportunities, pitch media and cultivate media relationships as appropriate.

    • Support the Global Media Relations team by drafting press releases and announcements within the landscape of Kevnue.

    • Develop comprehensive media prep files ahead of media interviews.

    • Develop knowledge on current and emerging communications trends and digital technologies, and assess the impact, industry best practices and emerging trends, while collaborating with the Global Media Relations Leader and regional leads.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is $60,000 - $96,600.

Qualifications


What we are looking for:

  • Required Qualifications

    • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree
    • Proven expertise in communications with at least 3 years’ experience within a corporate environment or public relations agency
    • Exceptional writing and communication skills and experience working with media
    • A basic understanding of the media on a global scale (traditional, online, broadcast, and social) and brand marketing trends (earned, owned, and paid)
    • A self-starter with high attention to detail and the ability to prioritize, take ownership, shift gears, and acclimate quickly while possessing high accountability for work quality and a solutions-oriented mindset
    • Strong multi-tasking skills and the aptitude to effectively motivate the team and internal partners to meet deadlines are crucial.
    • Professional maturity and ability to partner with key stakeholders at all levels of the organization, and work independently with minimal supervision and/or as part of a team
    • Results-driven strategic problem solver with the ability to identify relevant corporate media opportunities
