To ensure that all equipment is functioning at peak performance and preventive maintenance measures are enforced.
Responsible for:
- Forklift and conveyor equipment repairs
- Routine maintenance on all Equipment (Savoye, Crown, Raymond, Sealed Air and 3M Tape machines)
- Routine office and warehouse repairs (to include carpentry, painting, and plumbing)
- Maintaining spare parts for Material Handling Equipment (Savoye)(Crown)
- Ensuring that all company tools are in working order and secured at all times
- Adhering to OSHA requirements including “Lock out, Tag out” procedures
- Maintaining a clean, safe, secure, and orderly facility (Maint. shop)
- Log and keep records of downtime, facility temperature, and equipment repairs and maintenance.
- Work with outside contractors to ensure security procedures and safe work practices are followed.
- Assist in other departments as needed.
- Work overtime as needed.
- Carrying out additional projects/tasks as needed
- High school diploma
- Technical school diploma
- 5 years experience in a highly mechanized Distribution Center
- 5 years experience repairing Crown forklifts and conveyor equipment
- 5 years experience as a general maintenance mechanic
