Sign-On Bonus
This position is eligible for a sign-on bonus of up to $5000. Sign-on bonuses are prorated based on hours scheduled. Current team members or former team members employed by North Memorial Health, Maple Grove Health or Blaze Health in the last six (6) months are not eligible to receive a sign on bonus. Sign-on bonuses have a repayment commitment, and a prorated repayment is required if the commitment is not fulfilled.
About this position
The MFM Sonographer performs diagnostic ultrasound imaging and procedures under the direction of the MFM program providers and physician director of ultrasound. The MFM Sonographer has a thorough understanding of the equipment and its appropriate use.
This role will primarily support Maple Grove location with one (1) day each week at Robbinsdale.

- Assists physician with procedures as requested.
- Recognizes emergent situations and responds appropriately.
- Has a strong anatomy and physiology background.
- Maintains accurate customer medical records. Ensures confidentiality of all medical records.
- Utilizes Imaging and clinic computer systems correctly.
- Interacts with physicians, co-workers, customers, and families in professional manner.
- Has access to medications appropriate to their job duties.
- Accepts other duties as assigned to promote the accomplishment of organizational goals.
- The team member is accountable to demonstrate proficiency for the skills outlined in the appropriate position skills list.
- The team member is accountable to maintain skill proficiency, including improvement where deemed necessary, and upgrading any additional or new skills on the appropriate position skills list.

- Recognizes and complies with legal regulatory, accrediting and procedural requirements related to area of responsibility.

Education
- Graduate of an accredited program in Sonography.
Experience, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- 1-5 years previous experience in MFM practice strongly preferred.
- Registered or registry eligible by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS). New graduates need to obtain within 24 months of hire.
- Fetal Nuchal Translucency Certification, preferred
- Fetal Echocardiogram Certification, preferred
- Cervical Length Education and Review (CLEAR), preferred
- Knowledge of AIUM Accreditation standards, preferred
Licensure/Certification(s) Mandatory
- ARDMS Registered or Registry Eligible; new graduates need to obtain within 24 months of hire
