Job Purpose


Under close supervisor, performs various duties to load, unload, move, pick, pack, and stock raw materials, sub-assemblies, work-in-process, and finished goods, receive incoming shipments, and assists in the administration of inventory records and procedures.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities


  • Under close supervision, performs various duties to load, unload, move, pick, pack and stock raw materials, sub-assemblies, work-in-process, and finished goods, receive incoming shipments, and assist in the administration of inventory records and procedures.

  • Works from written and verbal instructions inventory procedures, and various forms, records and computer data to ship and receive orders.

  • Uses a fork lift truck to load and unload skids, trucks, crates, shelves, racks, raw materials, sub-assemblies, parts, work-in-process, finished goods and office supplies.

  • Uses fork lift truck or other material handling equipment to move material to or from work centers, storage or staging areas, warehouse, or shipping area in a timely fashion.

  • Operates banding machine for large packs.

  • Verifies and checks orders, inventory levels and stocking locations; transfers stock to new or alternate locations and consolidates lot sizes.

  • Provides assistance to move materials, instructs or guides other personnel as required.

  • Assists in maintaining a safe and healthy condition on company property to achieve the best working environment possible for all employees and visitors.

  • Performs duties in compliance with company policies and procedures.

  • Maintains regular and predictable attendance.

  • Performs other assignments as requested or as business needs require

Education and/or Experience

High school diploma or GED preferred, with 3 to 12 months’ general manufacturing experience. Must be certified as a fork lift driver. (Company will provide training.)

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee must be able to see, stand, talk, walk, hear, reach with hands and arms, stoop and bend. The employee must regularly lift and/or move more than 25 pounds and occasionally must lift and/or move over 50 pounds.

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus. Must be trained and certified to operate a forklift.
