MARKETING COORDINATOR (BARTACO)


LOCATION:
Remote/Hybrid – preferable locations include Connecticut, Northern Virginia, Atlanta

REPORTS TO: Director of Marketing
KEY RELATIONSHIPS: Social Media Manager, Senior Graphic Designer, Culinary/Beverage Team, People Team, Local Operations Teams

and bright flavors of Bartaco’s eclectic menu. The stylish ambience, cocktails, and freshly prepared tacos
and “not tacos” create an unforgettable experience.

looking for a Marketing Coordinator to join our team—with a primary focus of communicating with our
guests in addition to creating and fostering partners within our communities by way of local outreach,
charitable efforts and neighborhood events.


The Marketing Coordinator for Bartaco will be responsible for overseeing all facets of the marketing

team—acting as a brand ambassador to ensure brand consistency and communication to our local
restaurant teams, agencies and community partners are supported. The ideal candidate should
demonstrate the desire to take on any project—a person who is an extrovert, extremely organized,
detail-oriented, self-driven and thorough.


While our marketing approach is rooted in engaging content and storytelling, we place just as much
value on the importance of making genuine connections with our guests and communities. We aren’t in
the business of transactional marketing—we are in the business of hospitality and relationship
building.


Candidates with excellent communication + copywriting skills, hunger to build long-lasting
relationships within our markets, ability to work collaboratively, problem-solve while being creative (a
true marketer at heart) will be successful in this role. This is a tremendous growth opportunity for a
passionate entry-level marketing professional–someone who loves food, hospitality, grassroots +
experiential marketing and is eager to stretch the boundaries of their creative thinking. The future of our

be hands-on to help lead a wide variety of marketing initiatives.

AREAS OF FOCUS


Community Outreach, Philanthropy, Partnerships + Events:

  • Supporting our restaurants teams in each market with engaging the local community, grassroots marketing efforts and event appearances.
  • Attending select events, providing support and capturing content for social media.
  • Leveraging data tools to identify live-work-play partners within each market–serving as the face
    of the brand and liaison with our local teams–identifying unique experiential marketing
  • Providing hands-on event planning support at every step of the way–from the moment a
    partner event is identified to the day-of event–leading all aspects of event planning.
  • Communicating key marketing initiatives with property management groups and
    partners–providing turn key assets to help amplify awareness, build loyalty and drive traffic.
  • Identifying charitable organizations and sponsorship opportunities that align with Bartaco’s
    brand ethos–to ultimately develop relationships, fulfill donations and coordinate local team
  • Supporting Social Media Manager in curating influencer partners across all markets and
    providing influencer strategy support as needed.


Guest Engagement:

  • Acting as our number one brand ambassador with an undivided focus on our guests offering
    support every step of the way from being a helpful voice on the phone, to answering simple
    questions via digital platforms with ease.
  • Taking full ownership and handling escalated guest issues professionally, courteously, and in a
    way which furthers our guests’ sense of brand loyalty.
  • Fielding guest feedback and inquiries from several digital sources.
  • Creating and communicating training documents to local operators regarding guest
    engagement how-tos + best practices.


Local Marketing Support:

  • Assisting in the development of local marketing programs–effectively communicating said
    programs cross-departmentally amongst Restaurant Support Center team and local operations.

Press, Media, Broadcast + Influencer Relations:

  • Working closely with national + local PR firms–responding to incoming press opportunities,
    writing copy on behalf of our organization and building asset folders for key marketing
    initiatives and messaging opportunities.
  • Monitoring, tracking and analyzing performance of both national and local press/media–as well
    as communicating said hits within the organization via email and company newsletter.
  • Creating and communicating ROS (run of show) documents for press/media opportunities
    involving our local teams.
  • Coordinating press/media visits–ensuring our operators are briefed and great experience is
    provided to our press/media partners.


Digital Media + Email Marketing:

  • Assisting with social media, digital guest engagement and website maintenance + audits in
    collaboration with our Social Media Manager + Senior Graphic Designer.
  • Supporting email + SMS marketing campaigns in collaboration with the marketing
    team–providing copy + email test support.
  • Ensuring digital location listings + website information is accurate–continually updating
    content to strengthen SEO.
  • Assisting with the listing maintenance of third-party delivery services such as DoorDash + Uber


Campaign Planning + Management:

  • Developing metrics and criteria for measuring local marketing programs + promotions.
  • Ensuring marketing calendar is organized with key initiatives, campaigns + holidays.
  • Supporting on campaign recap reports and showcasing performance as it relates to
    team identified KPIs.


Employee Newsletter:

  • Channeling editorial + copywriting skills to share news with the whole company, while
    maintaining an upbeat Bartaco voice.
  • Connecting the Bartaco community by highlighting Bartaco news from the field, to provide
    updates + resources to our team members on a regular basis (including event summaries,
    employee highlights, campaign progress, menu updates, etc.)


Creative Services + Marketplace:

  • Working closely with Senior Graphic Designer on marketing collateral + event signage.
  • Assisting in monitoring swag/merchandise inventory + reorders.
  • Menu auditing across print + digital platforms to ensure accuracy.
  • Managing asset library to keep up to date for partnerships.
  • Managing relationship with our gift card provider + marketplace fulfillment partner +
    printer/merch fulfillment partner..
  • Fielding/troubleshooting guest-facing gift card + marketplace guest inquiries.

QUALIFICATIONS + ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s Degree required (preferably in marketing/communications or similar field).
  • Two years of marketing experience required (job and/or internship).
  • Experience with (or willingness to learn) digital tools such as Adobe, GSuite, Shopify, WordPress,
  • Be a quick learner and self-starter with drive to jump in and tackle new and challenging projects
    both independently and in team environments (both in-person and via video hangouts).
  • Enjoy working in a high-velocity environment and be passionate about marketing.
  • Manage competing/evolving priorities daily with ease and flexibility.
  • Possess strong creative copywriting skills which will bring the brand to life in guest interactions,
    community outreach + employee newsletter.
  • Possess innately strong resourceful problem-solving skills and strong intuition, approaching each
    day looking for an opportunity to make our company better.
  • Be detail obsessed–organized, ability to multitask, willingness to be nimble with a rotating set of
    responsibilities and deadlines.
  • Have a positive attitude, is professional, high-energy and a natural go-getter.
  • Be proficient in social media listening tools such as Hootsuite, native social media platforms,
    Wisely, etc.
  • Stay up to date with current technologies and trends in social media, design tools and applications–have an unquenchable thirst for what’s new & next. This includes TikTok trends, too!
  • Ability to travel bi-monthly to Restaurant Support Center (located in Arlington, VA) pending
    candidate is not Northern Virginia based, in addition to Bartaco’s markets.
