About the Role: We are looking for a Manufacturing Technician who has demonstrated broad process development capability to join the Prefilled Syringe team in the PharmBIO business. In this role, you will be required to learn and run select R&D processes and select test methods. This opportunity will start in R&D and lead into a more permanent role in our production line in the future. Hours for this role are 3:00 pm – 11:30 pm., Monday - Friday.

This role will be located at our facility in Elkton, Maryland.

Please note that evening, night and weekend shift positions are eligible for an additional $2/hour shift differential pay (in California, the shift differential pay is $2.40/hour).

Responsibilities:
  • Perform daily tasks including but not limited to: producing, washing, packaging and testing products
  • Drive motivation and interest by owning tasks to maintain production and small projects to completion
  • Prepare parts for delivery to internal and external customers
  • Understand items that impact quality and seek to find solutions
  • Document processes and support engineering requests
  • Write standard operating procedures
  • Communicate observations
  • Work in the quality system

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience with a broad range of production and test/inspection equipment
  • Experience with process documentation (lab notebook, batch records, process logs, etc)
  • Demonstrated flexibility to handle new and changing process steps and tests as they evolve (with little guidance)
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Proven attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to be highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities
  • Demonstrated ability to learn and train others to new procedures and techniques quickly
  • Ability to work in a cleanroom environment
  • Ability to do minor maintenance on equipment

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience partnering with Engineering function on process development
  • Molding experience
