Job description

Position Purpose

The Production Supervisor will ensure safety practices are being followed, production runs efficiently, shifts are fully staffed, housekeeping is maintained, and waste is kept at a minimum.

As a production manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the production while interfacing with operations, working with quality control to ensure that our standards are met, maintaining health and safety standards (OSHA) for the workplace and all individuals, appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.

Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Ensure safe and clean working environment
• Supervise production employees
• Ensure all production lines are running efficiently and effectively by -- Check computer settings on line

- Employees are present and at their assigned workstations- Diagnosing and correcting malfunctions- Working with Quality Department to address quality concerns. * Start a production line

• Ensure that production goals are being met
• Train employees
• Appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees
• Enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.
• Maintain attendance records for your shift
• Fill in for shift leaders/supervisors as needed
• Any other duties as assigned by management

Work Environment and Physical Demands

• Standing for long periods of time
• Lifting up to 50 pounds
• Climbing ladders
• Walking long distances
• Extreme temperatures

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

• Non-exempt
• Rotating 12-hour shifts

Qualifications / Skills

• Ability to think critically, communicate with other members of management and employees and, set and meet goals
• Ability to work with computers on twisters and extrusion lines
• Mechanical skills
• 2 years of supervisory experience preferred
• 2 years of manufacturing experience preferred

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
