About You and this Role
We are looking for a dynamic Manager to lead our North America Sales Development Representative (SDR) team. You love taking on new challenges, connecting with people and moving the sales process forward. You will play an integral role in generating interest in Liferay, coaching our reps to develop relationships with potential customers on the front end of the sales cycle, and enhancing Liferay’s brand as a valuable solution.
As the Manager of the SDR team, you are passionate about coaching and developing a team whose main responsibility is to nurture and qualify leads within the North America region.
Key Objectives
- The Sales Development Team is in need of someone who can recruit, interview, train, coach, and prepare Sales Development Representatives for success
- During the first 3 quarters in this role this individual will be required to play a player/coach role in order to scale the teams headcount
- This leader will develop close collaboration across the ecosystem to align planning, sales and marketing strategy, and demand gen to achieve monthly targets
- Organize sales development messaging and campaign strategy with marketing, sales, and demand gen teams
- You’ll be a great trainer and hold team members accountable to their goals
- Monitor and establish KPI metrics to measure the effectiveness of SDRs
- Conduct weekly 1:1's that cover forecasting, performance accountability, and career development
- Provide accurate weekly forecasts on sales and pipeline generation activity to the VP of NA Sales
- Regularly report and manage team/individual results - lead quantity, quality, and nurture activities
- Work closely with operations to make recommendations for improvement and innovation in the areas of process, efficiency, productivity
- Work closely with Enablement to develop SDR on-boarding, a continual development program, messaging, and product knowledge
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of demonstrated experience and success in a sales role, preferably software sales
- Consistent proven track record of overachievement of quota expectations
- Strategic problem solving, project management, proactively addressing problems and surfacing scalable solutions
- Able to track and diagnose strategic efficacy and recommend shifts/changes in course when necessary
- Proven history of successfully managing people to achieve and exceed performance goals
- Experience with Zoominfo, LinkedIn SalesNavigator, Vidyard, Salesforce CRM, Salesloft (or similar) a plus
