Overview and ResponsibilitiesThe Operations team serves as the junction point between the Consumer Products Account Executives (AEs), Licensees & Agents, Creative, Finance, Business & Legal Affairs (BALA) and Accounting teams in support of a $400MM+ global Consumer Products business. The goal of the group is to drive operational excellence through technology, process improvement and data analytics.
We are looking for an experienced Manager of Royalty Audits and Agents to join the team! This role is responsible for managing our licensee and agent audits, and 3rd party agent transitions and reviews for Global Consumer Products, Gaming, and Location Based Entertainment businesses. This highly visible role collaborates with Sales, BALA, Finance, and Creative.
Licensee & Agent Audits (60%):
- Identify 40+ licensees or 3rd party agents to audit annually based on objective and subjective criteria
- Partner with external auditors who conduct audits and determine scope for each audit
- Provide external auditors with key documents and data sets required to perform audits
- Conduct weekly meetings with external auditors to monitor all phases of audit: budgets, planning, fieldwork, drafting, and settlement
- Provide periodic updates to Sales team and senior leadership
- Lead quarterly meetings with Finance to provide revenue and expense updates
- Maintain detailed audit findings tracker (by licensee, contract, and issue type)
- Coordinate and lead all aspects of transitioning to/from 3rd party agent managed deals
- Liaise with key stakeholders (Finance, Sales, BALA, Creative, & Operations) to create detailed transition plan with timeline and required activities
- Responsible for ensuring notification to licensees contain clear and accurate direction
- Analyze deal financials and make recommendations on transition
- Conduct weekly/bi-weekly status meetings to ensure successful transition
- Actively participate in agent performance reviews. Includes scheduling reviews, creating scorecard template, gathering data points from each function to populate template.
5-7 years experience in Accounting or Finance
Bachelor’s Degree required (M.B.A. or C.P.A. a plus)
Strong technical skills: advanced Excel and PowerPoint

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Hiring Salary Range: $90,000.00 - 115,000.00.
The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York City, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable, as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement. This position is bonus eligible.
