Summary
Legendary Entertainment is hiring a Manager, Product Development and Ecommerce in the Licensing and Merchandising team. This is a newly created position, reporting to the VP of Consumer Products and Promotions, to help launch and support our ecommerce business as well as manage our existing consumer products licensees through product development and approvals. Depending on the candidate, there are opportunities to be involved in business development and sales support as well.

Responsibilities
Oversee Ecommerce Day to Day:

• Ideat new product ideas with e-commerce partners and licensees to create culturally relevant products that will excite and delight our fans
• Collaborate with internal marketing and creative teams to develop products that are quick-to-market during key marketing beats
• Work with social media teams to support the e-commerce store and promote relevant products during campaign windows

Lead Product Development:

• Oversee all product submissions from initial concept through final samples for all properties across Legendary’s portfolio
• Provide creative feedback as well as collate feedback from internal and external stakeholders
• Seek talent approval of likeness through talent reps where necessary
• Maintain detailed online database of each stage of product development for every licensee
• Manage physical product samples received from licensees

Sales Support:

• Create and update sales materials – pitch decks, sell sheets, etc.
• Provide licensees with sales tools for their own retail sales efforts
• Research new potential partners and seek out contacts

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree
• At least 2-5 years of experience in licensing / product development/e-commerce, preferably in the entertainment industry
• Creative/design skills are a plus but not required
• Extremely organized with an attention to details
• Self-starter who can manage multiple deadlines
• Experience working with many stakeholders
• Diplomatic and excellent communication skills
• Basic graphic design skills preferred

The anticipated annual base salary for this position is $60k to $75k. This range (amount) does not include any other compensation components or other benefits that an individual may be eligible for. Total rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. Legendary Entertainment also provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, employee wellness programs, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, year-round paid holidays, and paid time off (PTO).
The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, market demands and indicators, specific and unique skills or training, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the geographic location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. The hiring salary range (amount) for this position applies to New York City and California.
