Essential Job Functions
- Collaborates with university administration to develop and maintain communication mediums and marketing materials such as social media, web and electronic newsletters to effectively communicate university initiatives to internal and external audiences
- Acts as administrator for the university’s prospective student website and provides support and training for others on the system
- Manages web edits to review, edit and post web updates submitted by various departments, including written, video and graphic design edits
- Assists in the development and execution of strategies for both new and existing digital content production and delivery
- Edits or rewrites articles from internal and external sources for digital platform optimization, proper positioning, and to align with brand messaging
- Oversees the creation and implementation of prospective student communications to maintain consistency of messages across communication channels
- Executes and coordinates photography and video needs for the university’s digital platforms, coordinating with university departments as necessary
- Creates social media content as well as a comprehensive social media strategy; creates and maintains the university’s social media identity for prospective students and parents
- Researches, re-purposes and executes integration of content across all digital channels
- Supervises and develops the department staff, facilitating professional opportunities to improve individual capability and managing performance against job accountabilities, department goals and established university, campus and department policies and procedures
- Supervises and manages student employees, as necessary, to enhance their academic and professional development
- Performs other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of a bachelor's degree
- Moderate amount of experience working in digital content development, communications, higher education, marketing or in other related work
Please note: Qualified candidates must live or relocate within a daily commuting distance of the Providence Campus location upon hire.
